The re-purposing of the Ballymun Boiler House, as part of the WISER (working with industrial spaces to exemplify reuse) Project, established Europe’s first 3-D textbook as a centre for excellence in education for sustainable development. The plan for the building involved its reinvention as an innovative learning space showcasing best practice eco-design, construction and material use.
The project was funded by the EU LIFE+ Programme, The Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government, Dublin City Council and The Rediscovery Centre. The project was completed in December 2018.
Shaw Consulting worked with the Rediscovery Centre team, led by Dr Sarah Miller, to provide marketing communications support for the Wiser Life project.
Marketing support included branding; project management of website to house project overview and reporting, web content development; social media presence; stakeholder engagement; PR, graphic design and staff training and development.
