DEDIPAC (Determinants of Diet and Physical Activity) Ireland partners are gathering in the Gibson Hotel, Dublin on Wednesday September 7th to deliver a one day national symposium.
This free of charge event, which for the first time brings together the largest consortia (DCU, UCC, UL, UCD, TCD) representing diet and physical activity in Ireland, will exchange knowledge and disseminate research findings.

DEDIPAC is a pan-European project aimed at providing a better understanding of how biological, ecological, psychological, sociological, economic and socio-economic factors influence consumer decision making and how to translate that knowledge into the development of strategies for effective disease prevention in target populations.Further information on the DEDIPAC project may be found here on the DEDIPAC website.
Research conducted by the Irish partners on diet, physical activity and sedentary behavior will be presented under the following themes:
1. Measurement of diet, physical activity and sedentary behaviour
2. Determinants of diet, physical activity and sedentary behaviour
3. Evaluation of public health and policy interventions for diet, physical activity and sedentary behaviour.
