On Wednesday next January 2oth, I am presenting a session on marketing for legal practitioners as part of a Master Class Series in Practice Management
The series of modules, organised by Outsource Finance, cover all aspects of practice management from HR to finance to strategy to marketing and aims to demystify the so called ‘dark arts’ and get down to the nitty–gritty of what running a law firm like a business actually means.
According to David Rowe, Outsource Management, “Running a law firm successfully is a complex business which requires an array of attributes, assumed to come naturally. The reality is that many partners and potential partners are excellent practitioners, who enjoy the client work but often feel ill-equipped to run or assist in running a business. For many there is a worrying assumption that they will simply acquire the ‘know-how’, despite having had little or no exposure to running a law firm while employed solicitors or through formal training”
This ‘Master Class’ series aims to address the essentials of what many partners, potential partners and practice managers say they must do but very often don’t. It will address the areas of strategy, business planning, finance, cash flow management, IT, HR, marketing and leadership , providing participants with a 360° view on running a law firm.
The series of nine integrated workshops will be limited to a maximum of 10 participants and delivered by a team of subject matter experts, rich in previous and current law firm experience. The modules will be practical and relevant and will address day to day challenges, opportunities and long-term objectives.
Who should attend? The sessions are suited to any partner, potential partner or practice manager eager to learn more about the business of practice management and development and will start in January 2016. To reserve your place please email David Rowe. The cost is €950 per participant and the sessions will run from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. over 9 weeks commencing in January 2016 at Outsource Finance’s offices at Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2.
